Two things, done well.
Custom website design and search optimisation for both Google and AI. No template kits, no off-the-shelf SEO packages — every project is built around the practice it serves.
01
Web Design
Custom code, or built within Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, or whichever platform you're already on — your call. Practice sites, content sites, or e-commerce shopfronts for digital or physical products: I start with your audience — what they need to find, how they prefer to book or buy, what would make them choose you over the alternative. Then I design and build around those answers.
The result is a site that loads quickly, ranks well in search, meets WCAG accessibility standards, and converts visitors into bookings or sales. The build approach changes; the outcome doesn't.
02
SEO + GEO
Traditional SEO still drives the majority of search traffic — Google rankings, local search, the Google Business Profile that shows your hours and reviews. That's the foundation, and it's not going anywhere.
But people are also asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews "which psychologist in [suburb] is best?" — and the AI answers with whoever's site is structured well enough to be cited. GEO — Generative Engine Optimisation — is what makes your site one of those answers. I build both in from day one.
Frequently asked questions
How is GEO the evolution of SEO?
+
SEO emerged when Google needed signals to rank pages — for 25+ years the goal has been the same: appear near the top of the blue-link results. AI search changes the format. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews don't return a list of links — they generate an answer and (sometimes) cite their sources. GEO — Generative Engine Optimisation — is the practice of structuring your site so it's one of those cited sources. Same goal as SEO (be the site users find), new mechanism. Most of the underlying work overlaps; the structural requirements diverge in ways that matter, and that's where GEO comes in.
Is GEO replacing SEO?
+
No. Traditional Google search still drives the majority of search traffic for Australian businesses, and that's not changing soon. Think of SEO as the floor and GEO as the ceiling — you need both. The upside: most of the underlying work (fast pages, clean schema, clear content) serves both at once.
Do I need to do SEO first, or can I skip straight to GEO?
+
They're best done together — most of the foundational work overlaps. Solid SEO (schema markup, clear page structure, fast performance, real content) is also the foundation that makes a site citable by AI search. Skipping SEO to chase only GEO leaves you invisible to most users; skipping GEO leaves you out of the AI-driven answers your next clients are increasingly relying on.
Do I need a custom site, or can I use Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify?
+
Either works. I build custom sites in code (best raw performance and long-term flexibility) and I also design and build within Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, or whichever platform you're already comfortable with. The strategy, design, and SEO/GEO work don't change between the two — only the medium. I'll recommend what fits your situation during the discovery call. If you're already happy on a platform, I'll meet you there.
Do you build online shops?
+
Yes — I build shopfronts for both digital products (downloads, courses, memberships) and physical products (stocked goods, made-to-order, drop-shipped). Shopify is usually the right fit for product catalogues and checkout, and I can build custom when the requirements call for it. Same focus on speed, accessibility, schema, and SEO/GEO as a practice site — just pointed at sales instead of bookings.
How long does a project take?
+
1–4 weeks from kickoff to launch, depending on requirements. Simpler practice sites land closer to a week; group practices or sites with custom integrations sit closer to four. I give a firm timeline at proposal stage.
Do you work with practices outside allied health?
+
Yes — I lead with allied health because it's where most of my experience is, but I take on projects in other professional services when the fit is right.
What does a project cost?
+
Pricing depends on scope. I'm transparent about it during a discovery call — no surprises and no upselling. Get in touch and I'll give you a clear quote within one business day.
Will I be able to update content myself?
+
Yes — on Squarespace, Wix, or Shopify you'll use the platform's built-in editor (drag-and-drop, no code; Shopify also handles product, inventory, and order management out of the box). On a custom code site, content is authored in plain Markdown, which is also easy to edit. Either way, I provide a short walkthrough at handoff so you can publish blog posts, products, and basic page edits independently.
